During an earnings call on Friday, Charter CFO Jessica Fischer said that loss was still “less” than what the company initially expected. Charter execs also seem pretty optimistic about its cable bundle with Disney, with CEO Chris Winfrey saying the deal marks a “significant step forward for the video ecosystem.”

The iOS 17.2 beta adds a new translate option for the Action Button on the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max. According to 9to5Mac, using the shortcut lets you translate a spoken conversation via Apple’s Translate app. That makes for a total of 10 different Action Button options so far.
That’s an 80 percent increase over the same time last year, bringing Peacock’s total subscriber base to 28 million in the US. Comcast started making Xfinity subscribers pay for Peacock in June, which likely has something to do with the increase in paid members.
Peacock revenue jumped $830 million as well, reflecting the service’s subscriber growth and its recent price hike that brought the ad-supported plan to $5.99 and the ad-free plan to $11.99.
