In an incredibly unsurprising Sony tie-in, the car will be added to Gran Turismo 7 as part of a patch update “later this year,” according to a blog post. You can get an idea of what it will look like in the game in a new trailer.

Sony apparently wants to let you add themes to the screens inside its Afeela EV prototype, as shown at CES 2024. Its examples? Themes of Across the Spider-Verse, a Sony movie, and Fortnite, made by Epic Games, which Sony has invested in.
“Refer to your app as a spatial computing app,” Apple says in visionOS developer guidelines reported on by 9to5Mac. “Don’t describe your app experience as augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), extended reality (XR), or mixed reality (MR).”
Yes, visionOS may be used to power not-VR apps in the future, and I get why Apple may want to distance itself from terms like VR or MR. But the Vision Pro device that comes out on February 2nd is a VR headset, even if Apple won’t admit it.
The RayNeo X2 Lite AR Glasses come in at “just around” 60 grams, according to a press release, which is about half of the X2’s 120g weight, Mashable says. The glasses are tentatively set to launch in Q3, Mashable reports.
TCL is also gearing up for a global launch of the first X2 glasses... on Indiegogo, sometime in February.
Microsoft has thought about launching the game on PlayStation, Stephen Totilo reports in his new publication, Game File, though he says that “I am unable to verify if Sea of Thieves to PlayStation is still an active plan for Microsoft.”
Still, the company already offers some of its games on non-Microsoft platforms (like the Minecraft series), so this doesn’t feel totally out of the realm of possibility.
You’ll be able to watch shorter movies, though; Apple has updated its Vision Pro website to say the headset will let you watch “up to 2.5 hours” of video. When Apple first announced the device, the company had only said that the Vision Pro’s battery would offer up to two hours of use.
It kicks off at 12PM ET, and you can watch the livestream on YouTube. Right now, it features some great muzak.
