RTX Remix, which lets modders update older games with visual upgrades like ray tracing and Nvidia’s DLSS, launches on January 22nd in open beta. It made Portal look incredible, and it’s being used to build a community-developed remaster of Half-Life 2.
The company’s “Perfectly Imperfect” series of Card Spot trackers have small cosmetic flaws but otherwise work “seamlessly,” according to a press release. I’m guessing that the trackers should indeed work just fine; I don’t see why minor external scuffs would make a difference.
They’ll be available to buy starting January 9th for $35, and Chipolo will donate a dollar to one of three nonprofits for every “Perfectly Imperfect” tracker sold.


Two more authors, Nicholas Basbanes and Nicholas Gage, have filed a class action lawsuit against OpenAI and Microsoft, as reported by Reuters. The complaint alleges that OpenAI and Microsoft “engaged in a massive and deliberate theft of copyrighted works” created by the authors to help train their LLMs.
Adam Mosseri says that Threads has had some issues with what he calls “low quality recommendations” over the last few weeks. He says that “a lot of it” should be fixed and that things should get “much better over the next few weeks.”
Samsung is apparently trying to trademark the word for foldable OLED panels, as reported by Android Central. My guess is that it’s some marketing term for more durable foldable screens — perhaps for the next Z Fold and Z Flip?
