GameStop is ending support for its crypto wallet.

It’s removing the GameStop Wallet from the App Store and Chrome Web Store on November 1st, according to a notice posted on its NFT website. GameStop is blaming the “regulatory uncertainty of the crypto space.”

When the company laid off staff in December, Axios reported that the crypto wallet team was “heavily impacted.”

A GameStop notice that reads: “Due to the regulatory uncertainty of the crypto space, GameStop has decided to remove its iOS and Chrome Extension wallets from the market on November 1, 2023. We advise that all customers ensure that they have access to their Secret Passphrase by October 1, 2023. Any customer with access to their Secret Passphrase has the ability to recover their account in any compatible wallet. Information on how to obtain your Secret Passphrase can be found on our help site.”
Here’s where that “help site” link goes, if you’re curious.

Seattleites like to make earthquakes, I guess.

Taylor Swift’s recent Seattle shows apparently appeared on a seismometer. The same city is famous for showing up on a seismometer because of Marshawn Lynch’s “Beast Quake” run in an NFL playoff game.

Full disclosure that I am a former Seattle resident who saw Taylor Swift’s 1989 tour and a few Seahawks games at the city’s football stadium, so I was basically obligated to post about this.

The Zuck v. Musk cage match may not happen after all.

According to Reuters, when asked about the fight, Mark Zuckerberg told employees that he’s “not sure if it’s going to come together.”

I’d rather not watch the two billionaires duke it out, so I’m honestly fine if it doesn’t.

Elon Musk says X has hit a new high in ‘monthly users’ this year.

He also shared a graph seemingly showing the platform’s growth. The number 541,562,214 is at the end of the chart.

While that might seem impressive, Musk may be counting users differently than Twitter once used to. The company last reported monthly active users at 330 million in 2019 — Musk’s measure, notably, did not include the word “active.”
