In September, the EU designated Apple’s App Store as a “core platform service,” preventing the company from forcing developers to use its own payment system. Now it seems Apple is planning to challenge this label, according to Bloomberg, and will dispute the App Store’s inclusion. It has until November 16th to appeal.

Wave 6 of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s DLC released today, delivering the game’s final eight downloadable tracks for a total of ninety six courses (double the 48 it released with). The company says it now expects to release six live service titles by March 2026, half what it previously planned. Bloomberg has said Sony’s teams are having “mixed levels of success” with the live services push, and that it has cut back the team working on its Last of Us multiplayer title. Even Sony-owned Destiny 2 developer Bungie has been hit with layoffs and delays.
