The Elizabeth Holmes trial continues, but sentencing will have to wait.

Instead of sentencing Elizabeth Holmes today as previously scheduled, the judge will hear arguments from her lawyers seeking a new trial.

They claim former Theranos lab director Adam Rosendorff, who testified against Holmes, visited her and said he felt like he had done something wrong. Rosendorff later made a sworn declaration saying he stands by his testimony.

Now that we’ve seen it, how does the Meta Quest Pro measure up?

Not sure how to feel about Meta’s new VR headset and the motion-captured avatar legs revealed this week?

Verge senior reporter Adi Robertson spoke to Tech News Weekly about using the device and everything we learned about Mark Zuckerberg’s metaverse plans.

Earlier in the episode, senior news editor Richard Lawler discussed CNN’s NFT shutdown and why people who bought its tokens might be angry about the rug disappearing from underneath their feet.

    There are still good tweets.

A woman tweeted to models from the old-school boxes of hair relaxers to “show yourselves,” and... they did!

There’s always been something special about how Twitter can bring people together (when it isn’t splitting them apart) and this recent thread showed why — with no tweet editing required.

    It’s a magic coffee button.

Last month Google showed off its new lock screen widgets for iPhones but wasn’t ready to release them yet.

Now they’re all available, for Search, Chrome, Google Drive, Google Maps, Gmail, and Google News.

But Allison Johnson is focused on just one, and only for one reason: because now one button press can make Google Maps give you the shortest route to a cup of coffee.

The megamerger that killed Batgirl is sending House Party 3 to theaters.

When the new Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate sent its almost-finished Batgirl project into the vault forever, it also yanked other projects intended for straight-to-HBO Max debuts from the schedule.

One of those movies was House Party 3, which is now scheduled for a theatrical release in 2023. You can watch the trailer below (or with less editing on YouTube) and decide how good of an idea that is.

A game-breaking bug caused Nintendo to shut down the Switch Sports servers.

If your plans for Friday included a quick Nintendo Switch Sports session, we have some bad news — the servers are offline due to a bug in the latest update that caused a crash in the loading screen.

    Green Light.

Welcome to our new Netflix With Ads era.

After thinking it over, while a $6.99 option that maxes out at 720p and doesn’t allow downloads isn’t enough for me to consider it, I can see how having that option could work for some.

Especially if all they want is an option to keep in rotation with Disney, HBO, and whatever other packages they enjoy. Anyone plan on signing up next month?

YouTube is opening the gates to reserve @ handles.

If you have a YouTube channel name / tag that you absolutely have to have (or are in a hurry to squat) then check your email. As announced earlier this week, reservation emails are starting to go out, and if the name you want is particularly special, then you’ll need to be first in line to get it.

Every YouTube user will have a unique handle that applies across the platform, from channel pages to Shorts, YouTube’s TikTok competitor. Users can use a handle to mention others in comments, video descriptions, titles, and more, which YouTube says will make it easier for creators to reach audiences and increase visibility.
