Rumors have suggested Apple is getting ready to launch new iPad Pro models. Now Apple CEO Tim Cook has teased a new iPad in a Twitter post, just as the Apple Store has gone down. Microsoft has spent the past few years trying to force Windows users into using Edge. It’s now extending that effort to the mobile space where Microsoft can leverage its popular apps. Outlook testers on iOS are now seeing prompts to use Edge when they tap on links in emails. It’s only a test right now, but it’s similar to the prompts found on Windows.
Microsoft is improving the power settings on its Xbox consoles. The new settings page, available to Xbox testers, now lets you know how much power is used in standby or in energy saver modes. Microsoft says it’s “so you can better decide how you want your console to behave when you turn it off.”
Voice Focus is Microsoft’s latest Windows 11 feature to remove background audio, similar to how Nvidia, Discord, and others suppress background noise. This impressive demo shows how it uses a dedicated neural processing unit on ARM-based devices to silence everything around you when you’re on a video or voice call.
