Will Oppo have the first creaseless foldable?

Like Apple’s rumored foldable iPhone, the upcoming Find N6 will reportedly sport a creaseless inner display like the one we saw at CES last month. Oppo is shown testing a demo unit with no trace of a crease after 170,000 folds. The Find N6 is rumored for a China unveil on March 17th.

The Clicks Communicator will come in more localized layouts.

The phone-away-from-phone that Clicks announced at CES will come in a handful of different keyboard layouts, the company says. In addition to the QWERTY version, it’ll be offered in AZERTY (French), QWERTZ (German), Korean, and Arabic.

Clicks has also extended the window for early reservations until March 15th, which brings the price down to $399 if you’re willing to put down some (or all) of that cost now. But as for a firm launch date this year? We’re still waiting on that.

The cheaper version of Insta360’s X5 action cam is $60 off.

The X4 Air might be a smaller, less capable version of the X5, but the 360-degree action camera can still capture 8K video at 30fps, 4K at 50fps, and 29-megapixel stills. It’s also compatible with most X5 accessories, which is great considering it’s now available for $339.99 ($60 off) from Amazon, B&H Photo, and Insta360.

The Avalanches built a synthesizer from e-waste.

Australian mobile carrier Telstra launched Second Life Sounds to raise awareness of the discarded electronics in landfills and collecting dust. I don’t know how much of an impact this box of repurposed mobile phones, game consoles, and old cables is going to have, but it’s a good reminder to revisit Since I Left You.

The Steam Deck is missing its fourth birthday — except in the UK.

Today is the fourth anniversary of Valve’s gaming handheld, which has been out of stock for weeks due to RAM... but when I set my VPN to the UK, I see some available now! Not in the US, EU or Asia, though.

Last February 25th, I wrote how the Deck had dominated handheld sales; recently, Circana analyst Mat Piscatella shared that the Asus ROG Ally still hasn’t made a dent.

JBL’s burly Xtreme 3 speaker is more than $100 off.

It’s not exactly “portable,” but JBL’s waterproof Bluetooth speaker is still a great option if you’re not planning on taking it far. It features robust sound, an aux port, up to 15 hours of battery life, and — as of right now — a price tag of $199.99 ($130 off) at Amazon, which is the lowest price we’ve seen since July.

Samsung’s mirror-covered magnetic popsocket looks like fun.

Want a phone grip that doubles as a mirror? Samsung had two hiding away upstairs at Galaxy Unpacked, one folding retractable clamshell and one ring grip. Also, some fidget toy cases for your new Galaxy Buds. I don’t have prices or dates, but suspect one is the Magnet Mirror Tok mentioned in this Singapore press release.

I am once again asking for Samsung to put the magnets in the phones.

Like last year, the Galaxy S26 phones are “Qi2 Ready,” which means you’ll need a magnet case to use Qi2 accessories. Which is fine, I guess, since you were gonna get a case anyway. Fifty bucks seems a little steep, though.

Asus’ GoPro laptop is launching for $3,000.

Asus didn’t price any laptops it announced at CES, but prices are slowly tricking in. The ProArt PX13 GoPro Edition costs $2,999.99 in the US, while the standard model using a similar AMD Strix Halo processor with less RAM (64GB instead of 128GB) costs slightly less at $2,799.99. Both are available today.
