Epic v. Google won’t be going to the Supreme Court — both sides agree to withdraw it.

While Epic v. Google isn’t quite finished in the US, we no longer have to wait and see if the highest court will hear the case. Rule 46.1 reads that if all parties file in writing that a case be dismissed, “the Clerk, without further reference to the Court, will enter an order of dismissal.” That agreement has now happened.

Epic is suing a Fortnite leaker over allegedly sharing details of upcoming collaborations.

The leaker, Hayden Cohen, was a former contractor who shared the details on X and Discord under the AdiraFN and AdiraFNInfo aliases despite having signed an NDA, according to Epic’s lawsuit.

The lawsuit follows news that a prominent Call of Duty leaker will stop sharing confidential information about the franchise after receiving legal demands from Activision.

Highguard’s last hurrah.

A week from today, squad-based shooter Highguard will be shutting down for good. But over that time players will get to mess around with a just-launched final update that adds a lot to the game, including a new character and weapon, and account progression. Check out the full patch notes.

A return to the seas.

In a new blog post about the future of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Ubisoft sneakily announced Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced, a remake of Black Flag that has been rumored for years.

Ubisoft also says to “expect” news “very soon” about Netflix’s live-action Assassin’s Creed series.

Confirmed: the new Castlevania game isn’t a roguelike.

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, set to launch this year, is being made by Konami and two studios behind the roguelike Dead Cells, Evil Empire and Motion Twin. Given the history of those two studios, I asked Konami if Belmont’s Curse was a roguelike, and the answer is that it’s not.

Castlevania Belmont’s Curse is a 2D Action-Exploration game where players can freely explore vast, elaborately crafted maps,” Tommy Williams, Konami’s Head of Communications for the Americas, tells The Verge. “It is not a roguelike or roguelite game.”

It’s almost question time.

Pokopia is out this week, and it’s one of the more interesting Pokémon spinoffs, mashing up games like Animal Crossing, Minecraft, and Dragon Quest Builders. If you’re curious just what’s going on in the game, The Verge’s poké-experts Charles Pulliam-Moore and Kallie Plagge will be answering questions at 2PM ET.

Wondering what was popular during Steam Next Fest?

If you are, Valve has a list of the 50 most-played demos. I only dabbled with a few, but I loved the one for the Vampire Survivors spinoff Vampire Crawlers.

The Xbox Ally X now lets you let AI record your screen and cut together highlight reels.

Any Xbox Insider PC can opt into Microsoft’s new “postgame recaps,” but the Xbox Ally X handheld’s integrated NPU takes it further with Copilot-generated “highlight reels.”

To start, it’ll only work with Among Us, Elden Ring, Fortnite, Forza Horizon 5, Lies of P, Overwatch, and Palworld. Let me know if it’s better than a normal recap?
