Amazon announced the new Fire TV 4K Select streaming stick at its fall 2025 hardware event on Tuesday. The new streaming stick will cost $39.99 and ships in October.

The stick offers “vibrant 4K picture quality,” support for HDR 10 Plus, and “apps that launch remarkably fast,” Amazon says. It will work with “your favorite streaming services” and will “soon” support Xbox Gaming, Luna, and Alexa Plus.

Amazon last did a major refresh of the Fire Stick line at its fall hardware event in 2023. At that time, it updated the Fire Stick 4K with specs like an upgraded processor and Wi-Fi 6, while the the Fire Stick 4K Max got support for Wi-Fi 6E and a storage bump up to 16GB. In 2024, Amazon also updated the Fire TV Stick HD in 2024 to bundle in the Alexa voice remote and add support for HDMI-ARC.

At its event, Amazon also announced new TVs and talked about a new operating system that it calls Vega OS. The new TV hardware will be available to preorder today.
