‘The robots are people too.’
That’s according to Rich Skrenta, the executive director of Common Crawl — a non-profit that has scraped billions of webpages and reportedly created a backdoor for AI models to secretly train on paywalled articles. Skrenta told The Atlantic that requests to remove such content from its database are “a pain in the ass,” and argues that bots should be allowed to “read the books” for free.
