Vampire Survivors is getting online co-op.

Vampire Survivors developer Poncle is drip-feeding new features coming in the game’s 1.14 update, and online co-op is the first of five teased announcements.

Local co-op came to Vampire Survivors back in 2023, but I’m excited I’ll be able to bother someone other than my wife to play with me.

Nintendo wants $4.5 million from a Reddit mod accused of Switch piracy.

Last year, Nintendo sued r/SwitchPirates mod James “Archbox” Williams for allegedly selling thousands of pirated Switch games. Now, the gaming giant is requesting $4.5 million in damages after Williams didn’t respond to the lawsuit.

Turtle Beach’s new Switch 2 controller looks like it’s made of glass.

The company released a new collection of Switch 2 accessories including cases, controllers, and screen protectors, but the standout is the Afterglow wireless gamepad featuring a fully transparent shell and color-changing LEDs inside. The $64.99 controller is cheaper than Nintendo’s while also offering upgraded drift-resistant TMR thumbsticks.

At $64.99 the Afterglow is $25 cheaper than the $89.99 Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller, while offering a more striking design.
You can adjust the brightness of the Afterglow’s LEDs and choose from four different lighting modes.
The controller features textured thumbsticks and grips, and a pair of mappable action buttons on the back.
Battery life is estimated to be up to 40 hours.

What is Nintendo up to?

The company just released a four-minute-long animated short called “Close To You,” about a small baby and possibly a sentient soother. But it’s unclear right now what the short is for, or if it’s teasing something bigger from Nintendo.

A fit check before you head to Lumiose.

While the six-minute-long Pokémon Legends: Z-A overview Nintendo just posted doesn’t feature all that much new information, it does give us an even better look at many of the game’e snazzy new character customization options.

Super Mario Galaxy deserves more

N64 Game Boy.

Two Game Boy masterpieces in a week: first the Lego Game Boy, now this incredible Game Boy Micro build. Bonus points for repurposing the Rumble Pak slot as a Game Boy Advance cartridge slot. Feels so right!

Lego’s Nintendo Game Boy is a brick masterpiece just shy of perfection

Review: Lego Game Boy vs. real Game Boy.

Today I’m toying with the Lego Game Boy and comparing it to OG.

The brick version is even better than I imagined: an incredibly faithful, fun, and clever build. You can press every button, spin every wheel; designers nail the curves and recreate almost every label. For $48 at Costco (in-person) or $60 at Amazon, it’s even relatively affordable. (I bought it myself.)

Pokémon TCG Pocket is running it back.

Deluxe Pack ex, the newest Pokémon TCG Pocket expansion, will feature reprinted cards from multiple previously-released sets. But this time around, many of the cards will feature fancy new artwork, and each Deluxe pack will include at least one high-rarity card. The expansion will be available from September 29th to October 29th.

Hades II players on Switch 2 in TV mode can have upscaled 4K or 120fps, but not both.

But Supergiant Games’ Greg Kasavin tells The Verge that if players specify 4K instead of Automatic in system settings, they can force the game to output an internally upscaled 4K / 60fps image and throw away the extra fps.

Next week is shaping up nicely for Switch Online subscribers, as the service will be getting both the cult platformer Klonoa: Empire of Dreams, and the puzzler Mr. Driller 2. Both will be available starting on September 25th.

The Galaxy keeps expanding.

Nintendo just added Super Mario Galaxy 2 to its music streaming app (the first is already there). This comes just a few days after announcing a Galaxy bundle coming to the Switch and the title of the next Mario movie which is, you guessed it, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.

What even is this thing?

During the Nintendo Direct Showcase, Big Red showed off the latest weird-ass thing to come out of it’s design lab — a talking flower. Specifically, the talking flower that shows up all over Super Mario Wonder (and is voiced by the new Mario himself, Kevin Afghani.) We know it talks, but is not an interactive toy which begs the question...why? A question that, knowing Nintendo, will never truly be answered.
