Amazon spring sale prime day 2025 deals – Breaking News & Latest Updates 2026
Skip to main content

Forget about Black Friday and Cyber Monday — or Prime Day, for that matter. For the second year in a row, Amazon has launched a spring sales event, which will run through Monday, March 31st, offering Prime and non-Prime members alike an opportunity to save big well ahead of the traditional shopping season.

As you might expect, not every item discounted for Amazon’s Big Spring Sale is a winner. But it is a great time to pick up a pair of headphones, that e-reader you’ve been eyeing, or a clever charging gadget. Thankfully, our deal experts have been poring through the discounts and consulting our price-tracking tools to find actual deals on the gadgets we love, many of which we’ve rigorously tested.

We’re tracking the latest deals as we encounter them, so you can rest assured you won’t have to wait until the holidays to roll around just to score a worthwhile discount on your (soon-to-be) favorite gizmo.

Amazon’s first big sale event of 2025, the Big Spring Sale, is officially in the bag. Many of the best deals have since disappeared, but, fortunately, a few of our favorites are still hanging around. We’ve rounded up the cream of the crop below, which includes deals on everything from headphones and robot vacuums to chargers and OLED TVs.

Even better, while having a Prime subscription means your packages will arrive more quickly, you don’t necessarily need to be a member to get in on these tried-and-tested Verge favorites (only in rare cases are deals exclusive to Prime members, and we’ll note when that’s the case). We’ve also highlighted deals at competing retailers, including Best Buy and Walmart, just in case you don’t want to shop from Amazon.

From the Kindle Colorsoft and Samsung’s new Galaxy S25 to the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra, Amazon’s Big Spring Sale has brought steep discounts on some of our favorite gadgets. There’s just one problem: a large chunk of them will set you back at least several hundred dollars, if not more. That can be a tough sell in a day and age when eggs are twice as expensive and tariffs loom large.

We’re well aware of the current financial climate here at The Verge, so we’re highlighting some of our favorite budget-friendly picks alongside the best deals overall. These gadgets and gizmos — many of which will remain available through the end of today, March 31st — are cheap-ish in price but not in quality. In fact, many of the items featured below, all of which can be had for less than $100, are some of the best available.

Smart plugs are great, but unfortunately, they can’t automate everything. Thankfully, there is a cheap cube-like contraption called the SwitchBot Bot that can add a touch of modern functionality to your garage door, light switch, and other traditional devices. It would normally run you $29.99, but right now you can buy it directly from SwitchBot for just $20.99 ($9 off) using promo code BKLP15 or at Amazon for $22.49 (about $8 off) if you’re a Prime member.

SwitchBot’s smart switch button pusher is incredibly easy to set up: just use the included tape to mount it to a standard button or rocker switch, which will let you use your phone to control devices you would typically turn on and off via a button. It works with compatible garage door openers and light switches, along with coffee makers, rice cookers, pet feeders, monitors, laundry machines, and other button-based gadgets. It also lets you create schedules and, when paired with a SwitchBot hub, issue voice commands via Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri. It even supports Matter, though you will need to own the latest SwitchBot Hub 2 to take advantage of the newer smart home standard.

Whenever Verge staffers are asked to describe their smart tech, office tools, kitchen gadgets, or whatever else, they talk about things they recently bought, things they picked up 10 years ago, or things they’ve had sitting around their house for decades.

We’ve gathered a few of the items that our staffers have enthused about in the past that they use for charging, repairing, listening, cooking, gardening, and parenting, and that are now discounted as part of Amazon’s Big Spring Sale. Just in case you’d like to check them out.

Amazon’s latest Kindle Scribe is the cheapest it’s been in months

2024 Kindle Scribe Lifestyle Press Image
2024 Kindle Scribe Lifestyle Press Image
The latest Kindle Scribe is a far better value now that you can save on all three configurations.
    Image: Amazon

Unsurprisingly, Amazon is discounting a variety of e-readers during its Big Spring Sale, including its first color e-reader. But if you like to take notes while reading, there’s only one Kindle that allows you to do so: the Kindle Scribe. Luckily, the 16GB version of the latest model is on sale for an all-time low of $324.99 ($75 off) at Amazon and Best Buy. You can also pick up the 32GB and 64GB versions at Amazon for $339.99 ($80 off) and $364.99 ($85 off), respectively, or the last-gen Scribe for $264.99 ($75 off) if you’re a Target Circle member.

Overall, the Kindle Scribe offers a far better writing experience than it did when it first made its debut. That’s thanks to a plethora of new AI-powered features Amazon baked into the second-gen model, which are also available to first-gen Scribe owners. Notably, Amazon now lets you write directly on ebook pages and scribble notes in the margins, which makes for a more intuitive note-taking experience. The Scribe can also now summarize any notes you make in the built-in notebook, when connected to the internet, and refine your handwriting.

Bird Buddy’s solar-powered smart feeder is $100 off

    birdbuddypromain

I admire birds as much as the next person, but taking up birdwatching isn’t something I’ve considered. I don’t have the patience, nor do I own a good pair of binoculars — which is necessary for seeing the majestic, winged creatures up close. What I might sooner settle on, however, is the Bird Buddy Pro, a smart bird feeder with an integrated camera that can give you a much, much closer look at birds as they munch (and identify them using AI). Normally $299.99, the video-equipped feeder is matching its all-time low of $199 at Amazon as part of its Big Spring Sale, which runs through March 31st.

If not to satisfy your own desire to be a proverbial fly on the wall of a bird feeder, the Bird Buddy Pro could be a fantastic gift as well. We’ve got Mother’s Day coming up, though I consider this a good gift for anyone looking to ring in the shift to spring, as leaves come to life and flowers bloom. Bird activity will soon soar, making it the perfect time to try something like this out. You can spy on birds through its integrated camera, which can display 5-megapixel stills or video at 1080p resolution.

It’s cheaper than ever to get a 4TB PCIe 4 SSD

    71jFF+xkqyL._AC_SL1500_
    71jFF+xkqyL._AC_SL1500_
    Image: Samsung

Samsung launched its new, very fast 9100 Pro PCIe Gen 5 SSD last week, and the prices are pretty high, starting at $199.99 for the 1TB model without a heatsink pre-installed. This had me looking at prices for its predecessor, the still-very-fast 990 Pro, and I was happy to see that its 4TB model is currently selling for $279.99 at Walmart and at Amazon as part of its Big Spring Sale — more or less half off the price of the 9100 Pro’s 4 TB version ($549.99).

Why buy the 990 Pro over the 9100 Pro? Well, the 9100 Pro requires PCIe Gen 5-ready hardware to take advantage of its speeds, and that tech is far from being affordable or mainstream at the moment.

Nothing’s colorful, entry-level earbuds have fallen to their best price to date

Photo by Chris Welch / The Verge

From the AirPods Pro to the Shokz OpenRun Pro 2, Amazon’s Big Spring Sale has ushered in a number of surprisingly good deals on wireless earbuds. Neither of the aforementioned picks is probably the best option if you’re working with a tight budget, though, fortunately, there are cheaper alternatives. Right now for example, the already inexpensive Nothing Ear (a) are on sale at Amazon starting at $77.50 (around $23 off), which is a new all-time low.

Nothing’s entry-level earbuds deliver solid value for the price, which is why they remain our favorite pair of earbuds for under $100. They combine decent active noise cancellation with enjoyable sound, which you can further fine-tune using Nothing’s mobile app. The water-resistant buds also come with three sizes of swappable silicone tips, which allow for a more secure and comfortable fit (should you find the right size).

The Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 are worth their full price, but are more tempting at $30 off

When it comes to working out or just hanging outside, the perks of bone conduction headphones versus over-ear headphones or earbuds are growing. They’ve always been the safer alternative since they don’t obstruct your hearing, but with the Shokz OpenRun Pro 2, they now actually sound good. Thanks to its USB-C charging (in place of the proprietary charger that its predecessor used), more bass, fewer audible vibrations, and AI-powered noise cancellation, it’s easier than ever to recommend them to more people — especially since they’re $30 off during Amazon’s Big Spring Sale.

Shokz has given the OpenRun Pro 2 a small, but welcome 17 percent discount, making them $149.95 in either the black or silver color schemes at Amazon. If you want the orange color, you’ll have to head to B&H Photo or Shokz’ official site. Even though this model has been available since August 2024, this is the first time it’s been discounted.

Spring cleaning season is here, which is probably why we’re seeing retailers slash prices on top-tier robot vacuums like the Dreame X40 Ultra and Eufy X10 Pro Omni. Yet it’s the deal on the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultraour favorite robot vacuum overall — that stands out the most. Right now, you can buy the excellent robovac / mop hybrid for $999.99 ($700 off) at Amazon, Best Buy, and directly from Roborock at this new all-time low price.

Boasting 10,000Pa of suction power, the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra delivers exceptional vacuuming performance with a pair of rubber roller brushes that can suck up dirt impressively well. It also comes with camera-equipped AI obstacle avoidance, so you don’t need to worry about it getting tangled up in clutter. The S8 Max V Ultra can additionally lift itself up to scrub your floors, courtesy of a sonic mop that vibrates up to 4,000 times a minute. That allows it to easily clean up spills, while its flexible mop arms allows the robovac to reach corners and baseboard edges for an even more thorough clean.

Nosferatu and some of our favorite movies are buy two, get one free today

    Nosferatu Newsletter Image

“Pick-your-own” promotions are a personal favorite of mine, so I’m stoked to see the return of Amazon’s deal that lets you grab three 4K Blu-rays, standard 1080p Blu-rays, or DVDs for the price of two. All you have to do is add any three items included on this page and head to checkout, after which point you’ll find the cheapest of the three to be free. Just a note that playing a 4K Blu-ray requires a PlayStation 5 with a disc drive, an Xbox Series X, or a standalone 4K Blu-ray player — such as this high-end Panasonic model that’s currently 23 percent off.

Included in the list are some of our favorite movies of 2024, including Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu, The Substance, and Alien: Romulus. The page has other titles you might be interested in, like the recent 4K re-releases of Kill Bill Vol.1 and Vol. 2, the steelbook version of Akira, Prey (an incredible Predator spin-off), the 4K version of The Lord of the Rings trilogy, and a whole lot more.

The Kindle Colorsoft is now a far better deal thanks to Amazon’s Big Spring Sale

The Amazon Kindle Colorsoft on a stack of books.
The Amazon Kindle Colorsoft on a stack of books.
The Colorsoft is like a souped-up Kindle Paperwhite, but that isn’t such a bad thing.
Photo: Andrew Liszewski / The Verge

When we reviewed the Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition late last year, one of our biggest gripes was the e-reader’s initial starting price of $279.99. It’s a high price to pay for an ebook reader, particularly given its smaller 7-inch display and lack of stylus support, but those shortcomings are more forgivable now that the ebook reader is on sale at Amazon and Best Buy for an all-time low of $224.99 ($55 off).

At its core, the Colorsoft is really just a Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition with a color screen. It’s the first Kindle to utilize E Ink’s color screen technology, which provides more vibrancy than Kobo’s like-minded Libra Colour — even if the 300ppi resolution is halved in color mode. The resulting contrast and color make browsing and reading books (or comics!) more pleasant and engaging, but don’t expect the kind of glossy, high-res images you might get on a dedicated tablet with an OLED or LCD display.

Anker’s ‘InstaCord’ battery with dual retractable USB-C cables is 20 percent off

    Anker Laptop Power Bank Retractable
    Anker Laptop Power Bank Retractable
    Image: Anker

It’s extremely hard to beat Anker’s A1695 “InstaCord” 25,000mAh portable battery when it comes to value and price, especially now that it’s 20 percent off thanks to Amazon’s Big Spring Sale. Originally $109.99, it’s currently available from Amazon and Anker for an all-time low $87.99 — not bad considering the high-capacity power bank offers 165W of total charging power and not one, but two retractable USB-C cables built in. One doubles as a sturdy carrying loop, while the other is embedded near its ports on the top.

The battery was a recent star in The Verge’s fun Today I’m Toying With video series, in which our own Sean Hollister heaps some praise onto the InstaCord battery. Something cool about its built-in cables is that they’re bidirectional, meaning they can charge devices and be used to charge the battery itself. Anker usually comes out with at least one must-own portable battery per year, and so far, this is 2025’s top candidate.

Hoto’s handy, rechargeable tools are up to 50 percent off

    Hoto electric screwdriver parts
    Hoto electric screwdriver parts
    Image: Hoto

Hoto makes tools for DIY tinkerers who have a preference, not just for how their tools perform, but how they look, too. Not to be hyperbolic, but they’re the slickest tools we’ve seen, so we love to tell Verge readers every time its products go on sale. And, wouldn’t you know it, the reliable Hoto electric screwdriver is cheaper than usual during the Amazon Big Spring Sale. The 3.6V USB-C rechargeable screwdriver comes with 25 steel bits and a carrying case, and it’s just $34.99 right now ($35 off) at Amazon.

It’s not the only Hoto product we think is worthy of your attention during the sale period, which lasts through March 31st. If you’d rather have a rechargeable power drill instead of a screwdriver, we suggest the Drill Tool Set, which is $40 off at Amazon. It includes 10 screw bits and eight bits for drilling holes into wood, drywall, or what have you. In addition to the drill and its accessories, Hoto adds a tool starter kit in the case with needle-nose pliers, a tape measure, a wrench, a hammer, and a screwdriver, the latter of which is compatible with the drill bits.
