In Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die, a strange man (Sam Rockwell) needs everyone in a diner to believe that he’s really from a future where humanity has been all but destroyed artificial intelligence. His story’s wild, but to people living in 2025, it’s not all that hard to believe. Movie’s out February 13th.
The unified cut Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill films that merges Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 into a four-hour-long action epic is finally coming to theaters across the country on December 5th. There will be special screenings of 35mm and 70mm prints, and theatergoers will have a 15 minute intermission for bathroom breaks.
Arco was one of my favorite movies at this year’s Toronto film festival, a mix of Miyazaki, Moebius, and a classic time travel story. Now you can see how good it looks for yourself in this new trailer. It hits select theaters on November 14th, with a wide release in early 2026.

For Godzilla Day 2025, Toho has revealed the name of its follow-up to the 2023 flick, Godzilla Minus One, a year after we saw the first teaser for the sequel.
All it seems to confirm is the name, Godzilla -0.0 (Godzilla Minus Zero), and the return of writer/director Takashi Yamazaki.

The latest Predator: Badlands trailer features a bunch of new shots of the deadly planet a young Yautja and his synth companion will find themselves stranded on, but the strangest thing going on here is all that fancy finger work with what appears to be a laser bow weapon.
Avatar actress Zoe Saldaña was just talking earlier this week about wanting James Cameron to make a documentary about how much human artistry goes into films made with motion capture. And now, there’s a new trailer for Disney Plus’ upcoming Fire And Water: Making The Avatar Films doc out on November 7th.

Check out the first full trailer below which prominently features Ben Kingsley. The eight-part series premieres January 27th, 2026 and appears to be about making an in-universe superhero film and clearly nods to the real world exhaustion with superhero flicks. We’ll have to wait and see if some self-aware jokes are going to be enough to keep Wonder Man from becoming another forgettable Marvel show, though.
One of my favorite movies out of TIFF this year was No Other Choice, Park Chan-wook’s surprisingly slapstick dark comedy about a man just trying to get a job. You can get a feel for it in the new trailer; it hits select theaters on Christmas before going wide in January.

The Umurangi Generation developer’s new game, Penguin Colony, just premiered at the Six One Indie Showcase stream alongside 46 other upcoming indie titles. It’s a horror-infused narrative adventure based on an H.P. Lovecraft novella but you play as penguins, and it’s “coming soon.”

The latest Tron: Ares trailer is mostly a delivery system for new Nine Inch Nails music, but it also does a pretty good job of making it seem like the movie’s going to do some wildly cool stuff with Light Jet dogfights.
There’s a whole lot going on in the new trailer for Bryan Fuller’s upcoming horror thriller Dust Bunny, but the main takeaway is that Sigourney Weaver is going to look cool as hell blasting people to smithereens with a pair of deadly stilettos. The movie’s out on December 5th.
Nobody wants to fess up to murder in the latest teaser for Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, but Daniel Craig’s Benoit Blanc knows that there’s a killer in his midst — one whose identity will be revealed when the film hits theaters on November 26th.
Things don’t look good for the survivors in the first trailer for 28 Years Later sequel The Bone Temple, out January 16th. Danny Boyle only produced this one, with Nia DaCosta (Candyman, The Marvels) helming instead, given the dubious honor of bringing a Jimmy Savile-themed gang to vicious life.

Rajamouli is releasing a new five-and-a-half-hour-long version of the film that combines it with its 2017 sequel, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. The new movie, Baahubali: The Epic, hits theaters on October 31st.
Blizzard released the new cinematic for World of Warcraft: Midnight, the MMORPG’s eleventh expansion and the second in its World Soul expansion trilogy. In the trailer, the blood elves are besieged by Xal’atath, the villain who’s been kicking around since The War Within. Twenty years on and still nobody can make cinematics like Blizzard does.
Geoff brought out members of the cast and crew of Prime Video’s Fallout TV show to debut the teaser for season 2. (Although, the Ghoul’s Walton Goggins apparently couldn’t make it.) New Vegas looks slick both in its pre-war days and after the bombs fell and we’ll see more of the city and the show when season two premiers December 17th.
Sony’s finally ready to show off the fruits of its investment in FromSoftware’s parent company Kadokawa with a new anime project. Announced at Opening Night Live, Sekiro: No Defeat is an anime show that will cover the events of the game and debuts exclusively on Crunchyroll in 2026.

Content Warning was one of the games featured during the Nintendo Indie World presentation, coming exclusively to the Nintendo Switch 2 next year. In the game, you and three friends journey underwater to film spooky goings-on in order to go viral, but there’s a catch. You might die...horribly.
Content Warning blew up on Steam joining the likes of similar co-op chaos games including Phasmophobia and Lethal Company. The game will make extensive use of the Switch 2 gamechat features and I hope there’s a setting where, if you’re using a camera, you can put your friends actual faces on their avatars. We’ll see if my wish comes true when Content Warning launches next year.
During Nintendo’s Indie World showcase, we got a bunch of games coming out in the nearterm, like Herdling, out on August 21st. There are also games coming out in the nebulous future of 2026 like Neverway. But there were some games featured that are just coming out today like Is This Seat Taken?
Is This Seat Taken? is a cozy puzzle game where you arrange people according to their preferences. A set of clues tells you who likes what, and its your job to put them in the most appropriate place like the world’s most powerful wedding planner. And best of all, the game launches today on Nintendo Switch.
UFO 50 is the game that dares to ask, “What if there was one game, but in it, there were also 50 games?” And on top of those 50 individual games (that are not mere minigames) you got an overarching narrative about the lifecycle of a fictional console?
That’s UFO 50. Each game represents the journey of the hardware and you get to see how the technology and development skills develop over time just like they do across a real console’s lifetime. And what if I told you that you could play this collection of 50 games on the Switch today? Because you can.
In the thick of the Indie World presentation and I can’t help but be powerfully intrigued by Well Dweller. Well Dweller, created by the developer of Crypt Custodian and Islets, is a metroidvania (or search action game, if you like) with an interesting artstyle.
You play as a bird with a matchstick, sent out to save her species from an evil and queen and seeing all the platforming and progression unlocking weapons, I think this is the kind of game I’m looking for right now. But unfortunately, I’ll have to wait for its release sometime next year.
During the Nintendo Indie World showcase, Mina The Hollower was announced for the Nintendo Switch. Earlier this year the game got a notoriety boost with a demo being featured during Steam Next Fest. And the retro-style, A Link To The Past-looking game featuring a very cute sword-swinging mouse also has a demo out now on the Switch. Not too long to wait now, Mina the Hollower comes out on Switch and PC October 31st.
Looking at Kirby makes me happy, and with this new trailer for — and brace yourself it’s a doozy of a name — Kirby and the Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World, I couldn’t be happier. My favorite pink blobby boy is getting some new adventures with the game’s starry stages that let Kirby explore previously blocked off areas.
He’ll also get new mouthful mode shapes including a spring that lets him jump, a gear mode that lets him scale walls, and a sign shape that doesn’t advertise his favorite foods, but lets him slide around on snow and other flat surfaces.
In A24’s Highest 2 Lowest — a remake of Akira Kurosawa’s High and Low — Denzel Washington plays a music mogul (rather than a show company exec) whose son (Aubrey Joseph) is being held for ransom. The movie’s new trailer doesn’t spoil much of the plot, but it does make it seem like Highest 2 is going to be a tense watch when it hits theaters on August 5th and Apple TV Plus on September 5th.
