Yesterday this alleged prototype of a refreshed Tesla Model 3 popped up on Reddit.

The facade looks a little like Tesla’s new-but-forever-delayed Roadster. The image’s source is a mystery, posted by a Redditor with an over ten-year history who “Just wanted to share it.”

As-is, we cannot confirm if this is the “Highland” Model 3 that was reported to be in the works last year or some kind of AI-generated swag pope fakery. One thing is clear — from all the bugs splattered on the front, this car seems to be getting road time without any camouflage.

Supposed “Model 3 refresh” posted to the r/teslamotors subreddit. Note the Tesla Roadster-like headlights, missing badge, and new rims.

Tesla drops prices again.

Although not as dramatic as previous cuts from 2023, the Model 3 base price is down from $42,990 to $41,990, while select Model Y, S, and X models also saw modest price reductions. Electrek has all the before-and-after pricing if you want to compare.

Tesla should’ve made this thing see-through, damnit.

JerryRigEverything got their grubby mitts and knives on a Tesla Wireless Charging Platform, and that, of course, means we get a vivid, borderline-gory view inside it. Unsurprisingly, it’s riddled with charging coils!

I kinda dug the charger in my review, even if it’s overly expensive, but now I kinda wish Tesla found a way to show off those coils. What do you think?

Tesla launches a Cybertruck-styled charging box in China.

Tesla’s angular pickup truck won’t be in full volume production until next year, but Not A Tesla App points out the electric car company revealed this Cybervault in China.

As described, it’s a weatherproof lockbox (opened by key or code) with a hard-wired version of Tesla’s mobile charger inside. There’s no word on if Tesla plans to sell the $800 setup, including labor and warranty, elsewhere, but you can buy just a mobile charger for $230 from Tesla.

Tesla ordered to pay $3.2 million over worker’s racist treatment.

A San Francisco jury ordered the automaker to make the payment to Owen Diaz, a Black man who previously worked as an elevator operator at Tesla, after he accused the company of fostering a hostile and racist work environment.

In 2021, a jury ordered Tesla to pay $137 million in damages to Diaz, however, a judge slashed that amount to $15 million last year, calling it “excessive.” The jury settled on a $3.7 million payment after Diaz challenged the judge’s decision.

April Fools’ 2023: Cybertruck.

Like the Cybertruck’s windshield wiper, this “crash test” doesn’t quite reach the end.
