The Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses are taking off globally.

Meta hasn’t even finished rolling out AI features for its smart glasses everywhere, but Stefano Grassi, the CFO of Ray-Ban parent company EssilorLuxottica, said during an earnings call that the smart glasses were the best-seller in 60 percent of Ray-Ban stores in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Last month, Meta extended its contract with EssilorLuxottica through 2030.

The Googlefication of Fitbit will continue until morale improves.

Why I’m returning Meta’s limited-edition translucent Ray-Bans.

I’m in a love-hate relationship with these smart shades. This’ll be the second time I’ve returned a pair! I gave them another chance because the see-through model looks fantastic... I’d use them almost every day if I could ditch these dealbreakers.

Google’s Fitbit is launching a Gemini-powered ‘insights explorer’ in Fitbit Labs.

Here’s what the tool will do, according to Fitbit:

The first lab, an insights explorer, uses Google’s Gemini models and will test the ability of AI to understand users’ health and wellness questions and give personalized answers about some Fitbit data types. For example, you could receive interesting explanations about how your activity impacts your sleep, with a chart that helps you visualize the connection.

Fitbit Labs is an opt-in program available to “select users.”
